Rawle Andrews Jr., Esq. is the executive director of the APA Foundation (APAF), the philanthropic arm of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). Rawle also is the president of the Rotary Club Howard West (MD), a Board member of the Thurgood Marshall Center Trust, and a past, two-term president of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia (BADC). Rawle’s commendations include: a 2022 U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for Volunteer Service; the 2026 Action Award from the Don’t MiND Me Foundation; a 2025 Inductee, Houston-St. Thomas High School (TX) Hall of Honor; a 2018 Distinguished Leadership Award from the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE); the 2016 National Humanitarian Award of the National Association of Black Veterans (NABVETS); and the 2006 D.C. Bar’s Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year Award.
